Apple continues to add the new detailed maps to its Maps app. After a recent arrival in France, a test is underway in Israel, Palestine and Saudi Arabia.

Like the noticed Justin O’Beirne, testing of new maps for Apple Maps in Israel, Palestine and Saudi Arabia began this week. Above and below are the old maps on the left and the new ones on the right. It can be observed that there are more details on the news.

Testing for Apple Maps typically lasts several weeks. It’s hard to give an exact date for when the new maps will be available to everyone, but it’s likely to be around the fall.

This will be the 16th expansion of Apple’s new Maps interface since the update first rolled out in September 2018. In 2020, Apple completed its US rollout, and has since offered the new result to Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Singapore, UK, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Italy, France, and more.

The new design includes more detailed views of roads and nature, faster and more accurate navigation, 3D landmarks, better views of parks, buildings, airports and shopping malls, as well as the function Look Around.
