Galaxy S21: August security update

A new update is being rolled out to the Samsung Galaxy S21, the Galaxy S21+ and the Galaxy S21 Ultra. All three smartphones will be updated with the latest security patch available for Android. It’s the August security update. The update was previously rolled out for the Samsung Galaxy S22 series and the Note 20 series has also seen the update roll in this week. In various countries, the update was already distributed for the Galaxy S21 series and now that is also the case in the Netherlands and Belgium.

Samsung does not have a long list of changes in store in the changelog, as it turns out. The Galaxy S21 family is only updated with the new security update. This offers several dozen patches from Google against security vulnerabilities. In addition, Samsung has also addressed several vulnerabilities with the August update.
