Honor announces Honor 50 series for Europe: what we can expect
Honor has officially launched a return to Europe. Due to the sanctions of Huawei, Honor disappeared from the scene here too. Now the company is back with the Honor 50 and the Honor 50 Lite.
Honor 50 to Europe
The announcement of the Honor 50 and the Honor 50 Pro is behind us for a while. The smartphone manufacturer has previously announced these devices for the Chinese home market. For Europe, Honor has not announced the Pro model, but it will come with the Honor 50 and the Honor 50 Lite. Both models will again come with the Google Mobile Services, which means you can use the Play Store just like the other Google apps. This was previously not possible, because Honor was also affected by the trade restrictions of the United States against Huawei.
Honor 50
The first device that will be released here is the Honor 50. This is equipped with a 6.57 inch AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. We also see an opening for the 32 megapixel front camera. On the back there is room for four cameras; a 108 megapixel main camera, 8MP wide-angle lens and twice a 2MP sensor. The Honor 50’s 4300 mAh battery can be charged quickly with 66W. The Honor 50 comes with Android 11 on the market, along with the Magic UI skin, which is almost identical to Huawei’s EMUI.
Honor 50 Lite
The Honor 50 Lite has a 6.67-inch IPS LCD screen with Full HD+ resolution. There is a 16MP front camera, a quad rear camera with a 64MP main lens. 5G support should be missed on the device. The company has not shared many details. For example, information about the chipset and the like is missing. We do know that the Honor 50 Lite will have a 4300 mAh battery; along with 128GB memory, 6/8GB RAM and here too Android 11.
availabilty
Specific data and data for the Netherlands have not been shared, and it is still questionable whether they will actually be available in the shops. For the time being, Honor itself will only sell them through its own web store. The price of the Honor 50 Lite is 299 euros; the Honor 50 has quite a hefty price tag for its capabilities; 529 euros.
