The release of Halo Infinite is approaching again after last year’s postponement, so the creators from 343 Industries have no choice but to introduce it to fans of the series and newcomers in detail. In addition to multiplayer, the shooter will also offer a story campaign, where the long-missing Master Chief will once again get to the center of events.
The UNSC is in ruins, the fate of humanity is in jeopardy, but fortunately the hero in a green suit returns to face the most powerful threat yet. According to the new trailer, Cortana’s popular blue-faced artificial intelligence, which planned a certain revolution in the last part, will probably play a pretty big role in the story. But the story also partially follows Halo Wars 2, where the main negatives from the Banished faction come from.
From the six-minute video, you can get a picture of the content of single-player missions – the world of Halo Infinite is supposed to be the most open in the series so far, as evidenced by footage on the map with collector counters that you can find in the sector. The optional content will also include the mining of bases, and the rewards include various improvements to your equipment. Light RPG elements for everyone!
Due to the vastness of the world, the modes of transport will be richer, you will sit in various tanks and hovercrafts, and there will also be a pull-on hook at hand, with which you can try all sorts of treats. You can also see new weapons, enemies and a computer-controlled partner named “Weapon”.
Halo Infinite will be released on December 8, 2021 in the Game Pass for PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S, but some elements will initially be missing. The cooperative mode for the campaign or map editor will not arrive until the update sometime during 2022.
