Galaxy A50 and A52 get June patch; Nokia 5.4 and 5.3 security update May

New updates are available for a total of four smartphones. Security updates are available for the Nokia 5.4, Nokia 5.3, the Samsung Galaxy A50 and the Galaxy A52. We’ll update you on what’s new.

Security patch for Nokia 5.4 and 5.3

A new update is available for the Nokia 5.4. HMD Global has started rolling out the May 2021 security update for the device for this device. DroidApp reader Han announces the update. Richard has received the 12MB major update on his Nokia 5.3.

If we look at the size of the update for the 5.4, it is very hefty, namely 1.85GB. Still, it is not yet the update to Android 11. Nokia does promise improved system stability, improvements to the user interface and therefore the new security patch with this update.

June update for Galaxy A50 and A52

Two devices from Samsung’s Galaxy A series are also provided with a new update. Ricardo informs us that the Samsung Galaxy A50 will receive the latest security patch from 2021. The June 2021 security update is also ready for the Samsung Galaxy A52, Gavin says.

The Samsung Galaxy A50 also includes improvements for the camera. This together makes the update almost 501MB in size. If you can download the update, you will receive a notification on your smartphone.
