WhatsApp rolls out ‘Call link’ to everyone: this is how you use it

Every now and then WhatsApp rolls out a new feature for its application. Now it’s the turn of another new feature. This is Call Link, a feature that allows you to invite others to a video call or a voice call. The function already appeared in a test version, now it is available to everyone. Users will find the option under the ‘calls’ tab at the top of the screen. At the top of the screen you will find the option to create a call link.

You can share the call link with others, but it is recommended that you only share it with people you trust. After all, they can join a voice or video call you make. You can share the link with WhatsApp contacts, but also via all other means. When the link is clicked, they are added to the conversation. The joint call can be made with a maximum of 32 people.

The function is activated automatically. You do not have to download an update for WhatsApp itself for this. Remarkable; on Android the function is called call link, on iOS it is called call link.
