Warning! A fake Škoda website has appeared on Facebook. You will definitely not give a free car

Another fake competition appeared on the social network Facebook, this time from fraudsters posing as Škoda Slovensko.

The fraudulent post claims that the company decided to give away three cars for free in an effort to promote its new car. However, the page no longer states what model it is. The instructions for the competition itself are also unclear, the article does not state how it is possible to participate in the competition for these three cars or what the conditions are. The post only encourages users to leave their name in the comment, giving them a chance to win a free car gift.

It is clear from the quick viewing of the site that this is not an official profile of Škoda. The site was created less than a day ago and has no other except the above mentioned post. It is also monitored by very few users and does not have basic information filled in the profile, such as a link to a website, a description or contact details.

On the other hand, the company’s real website has almost 100,000 followers, a rich portfolio of various contributions and, in addition, a blue badge next to the name, which informs that it is a Facebook-verified website.

The post is not a threat to you or your data and money, but avoid the site in the future

Although the competition does not look dangerous at first glance, the fraudsters do not link to their website or ask for personal data from users, but it is questionable whether they do not plan to continue creating fraudulent entries. If you received this post, be sure not to respond to it.
