Announcement Galaxy S21 FE cancelled: arrival of device uncertain

There is again news about the new Samsung Galaxy S21 FE. However, it is not too positive news this time. The arrival of the device may have been cancelled.

No Galaxy S21 FE?

Initially, Samsung’s plan was to release the successor to the successful Galaxy S20 FE in August. However, there was silence that month and according to previous reports, the announcement was now scheduled for mid-October. However, a South Korean source now reports that it is over and out for the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE.

The announcement has been delayed several times due to chip shortages and supply chain problems. According to the source, the manufacturer would now like to fully focus on the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3; a device that sells far above expectations and for which the chips can be put to better use.

According to the reports, Samsung cannot keep production in sync with the number of orders and therefore wants to spend the production capacity on the Flip 3, the foldable smartphone of the company. Due to the shortage of chips, the availability of the Snapdragon 888, which was also expected in the Galaxy S21 FE, is very poor. In addition, the price of the chips has risen and Samsung is said to have already tried to lower the costs of the screen and design in order not to increase the price of the smartphone too much.

The latest reports therefore speak of canceling the Galaxy S21 FE in its entirety, not just the event. Samsung itself has not responded to the messages.
