You have to update AirPods regularly, but how do you do that best? No worries! we tell you how to update your AirPods the fastest!
Read on after the ad.
Updating AirPods: this is how you do it
Just like the iPhone, Apple’s popular earbuds also receive regular firmware updates. This update brings new features to the AirPods and fixes bugs and any issues. It is therefore important to always install this update (and as soon as possible).
The update of your AirPods is often installed automatically when you have the AirPods in the box. It is not possible to give the order to update the AirPods yourself. But you can make sure you get the update the fastest. You do that in the following way:
Update AirPods: This is the fastest way to get the update
- Put the AirPods in the charging case;
- Connect the charging cable to the charging case;
- Open the case and let your AirPods connect to your iPhone;
- Close the charging case of your AirPods;
- Place the charging box next to your iPhone and make sure that your iPhone is also sufficiently charged.
It always remains to be seen whether your AirPods will immediately install the update. Apple often releases updates in phases, which means that you sometimes have to wait a while.
After all that effort and after a few days, your AirPods still won’t update? Then you may be dealing with a set of fake AirPods. In that case, read the article below.

Buy AirPods (or need an upgrade?)
Are you looking for new AirPods? Or are you ready for an upgrade? Then you first have to decide which AirPods you want to buy. The AirPods Pro, Pro 2 and AirPods Max have noise canceling (noise reduction). The AirPods 1, AirPods 2, and AirPods 3 don’t. By the way, don’t forget to update them immediately after buying the AirPods!
So are you looking for noise-canceling earplugs? Then we recommend the AirPods Pro 2. Don’t want earplugs, but real headphones? Then you have to be with the AirPods Max.
