this is how you will keep an eye on your orders with the Wallet app

In iOS 16 it will soon be possible to monitor and track your online orders with the Wallet app. iPhoned tells you how it works and what other features the Wallet app is going to get.

iOS 16: Track your orders with the Wallet app

The Wallet app (along with Apple Pay) is of course incredibly useful. When you have added your bank card, you can easily pay at the supermarket or bakery with your iPhone (or Apple Watch). No more annoying PIN codes (that you forget anyway) and you can leave your wallet at home.

In iOS 16, the Wallet app gets a few more features. This will soon make it possible, among other things, to track your orders from the app (Apple calls this ‘Order Tracking’).

Order tracking: this is how you track a package in Apple Wallet

It is of course super handy that you will soon be able to track orders in the Wallet app on your iPhone. You must use Apple Pay to make a purchase at the online store. The store must therefore offer this payment option.

When you place an order and have paid with Apple Pay, the order will appear in the Wallet app. It is also possible that you first receive an email or an app from the store. You then have to import the order first (just like you have to do with some tickets first). You can find the orders that have been placed in the following way.

Track orders in Wallet on iPhone

  1. Open the Wallet app;
  2. Tap the package icon at the top right;
  3. The orders appear in the next window.

Apple Pay Later

Apple Pay Later is a feature announced for the United States only at this time. When you buy something with Apple Pay, you can use it to split the purchase price into four equal payments (spread over six weeks, without interest or extra costs). You can also find these payments in the Wallet app. Whether this position will ever make the switch to the Netherlands is unknown, however.
