Streaming service HBO Max: March 8 in the Netherlands

HBO Max will be available in the Netherlands from March 8. This is good news, especially for fanatical series viewers, but there is much more to be found on the streaming service. iPhoned tells you what to expect!

HBO is no stranger to the world of movies and series. Well-known binge-worthy blockbusters like Game of Thrones and The Sorpranos all come from the American cable television network. But not only old acquaintances can be seen on this streaming service, you will also find new series such as House Of The Dragon (this is the predecessor of Game of Thrones) and And Just Like That (the successor of Sex and the city).

There is of course much more to see. Well-known films can also be found at HBO Max when the streaming service becomes available in the Netherlands. Think, for example, of the cinema hit Dune or the Kaiju film Godzilla vs. Kong. You will also find the films from the DC stable, such as Aquaman, Batman versus Superman and Zack Snyder’s Justice League.

In addition, there is also plenty for the kids to check out with the cartoons from Cartoon Network and Looney Tunes. And the cool thing is? All new Warner Bros. feature films are on HBO Max 45 days after they hit theaters. You can then watch them chill on the couch via your iPhone, iPad, console or smart TV.

HBO Max’s Twitter account has announced that HBO Max will be available in the Netherlands from March 8. It has not yet been announced exactly which series and films will be available during the launch. So that remains to be seen.

In addition, the price of HBO Max in the Netherlands has not yet been announced. In other European countries where the service is already available, you have to pay about 9 euros per month. You will probably also have to pay this for HBO Max in the Netherlands. It is not yet known whether there will be a trial subscription and an offer.

It is only getting busier in the world of streaming services. In addition to HBO Max, Viaplay has also announced that you can start streaming in the Netherlands from March 1. For this you pay 99 euros per year and you not only get access to films and series, but you also get Formula 1, the Bundesliga and PDC Darts. This only makes it more difficult to choose between Netflix, Disney Plus, Apple TV Plus and all other streaming services…
