The Witcher: Season 2 leaked on pirate websites ahead of Netflix release

Season 2 of The witcher will be out on Netflix on December 17th, yet it’s already available illegally for download on pirate sites. There was a leak.

A leak for season 2 of The witcher

The first episode of season 2 of The witcher is already available for download on pirate sites. The leak took place a few hours ago and it is proposed by a team called Telly. The file name mentions WEB-DL, meaning it is the intact file from an online source and not an encoding or screenshot. As for the sound, it is a stereo audio track with the AAC codec. There are also English subtitles.

TorrentFreak was able to confirm that the leaked episode is real. The site notes that there is the Netflix logo at the beginning, the credits at the end, and there is no watermark while playing.

It is currently difficult to say where the leak came from. And as one can imagine, Telly does not give any information. It makes you wonder now if the other episodes will follow before the official availability on Netflix.

This is not the first time that there have been leaks regarding Netflix. This year alone Army of Thieves, Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin, The Power of the Dog or The Guilty appeared on pirate sites ahead of the official release on the streaming service. The streaming platform obviously has work to do to prevent its programs from appearing on the Internet before their official release.
