Lessons in Chemistry (Apple TV+): first look at the series with Brie Larson

AppleTV+ reveals the first images of the series Lessons in Chemistry with Brie Larson in the cast. The series was first announced in January 2021. It is based on the book of the same name by Bonnie Garmus.

Set in the early 1950s, Lessons in Chemistry follows Elizabeth Zott (Brie Larson), whose dream of being a scientist is put on hold in a society that believes women belong in the domestic sphere, not the professional sphere. When Elizabeth finds herself pregnant, alone, and kicked out of her lab, she shows resourcefulness like only a single mother can. She accepts a job hosting a TV cooking show and sets out to teach a nation of neglected housewives—and the men who suddenly listen to her—much more than recipes…all while dreaming of returning to his true love: science.

Brie Larson will therefore have the main role and will also be an executive producer. The rest of the cast will include Lewis Pullman, Aja Naomi King, Stephanie Koenig, Patrick Walker, Thomas Mann, Kevin Sussman and Beau Bridges.

Apple TV+ announces that Lessons in Chemistry will be available in 2023 on the streaming platform. There is no more specific date at this time.
