The authors of God of War are working on the sequel to another new game -apkrig

From the players’ point of view, the beginning of 2021 is not exactly in an optimistic spirit. Although the release of this year’s first big game in the form of Hitman 3 is approaching, a number of titles have been postponed since the beginning of the year, further shifts in release dates are expected and moreover, E3 organizers do not seem to be developing . Nevertheless, gaming companies are not slowing down and trying to use the uncertain time not only to catch the mistakes of the titles in progress, but also to start other projects, which is currently confirmed by two closely watched Sony studios in Santa Monica and San Diego.

The first probably doesn’t need to be introduced in more detail – the Sony Santa Monica studio is responsible for the God of War series, which in 2018 experienced a reboot after a five-year break, which was a huge success. We have been officially aware of the continuation of the working subtitle Ragnarok since September last year, although we have not received any details and we are patiently waiting to see if we will see the game this year or fall victim to the delays mentioned in the introduction. However, it is now becoming clear that a studio of more than 200, led by President Yumi Yang, is working on two games in parallel, which would herald the ending development of Ragnarok. The information is based on an advertisement through which Sony is looking for a new art director to study in Santa Monica. Specifically, the advertisement states that the successful candidate will be involved in the development of a hitherto unannounced title, which has the highest ambitions according to the requirements. It is also speculated that the game should not be based on any well-known brand, which for the people of Santa Monica means an adventure that they have not enjoyed for the past 16 years. For just such a long time, they were fully committed to the God of War series, although they began their portfolio in 2001 through the game Kinetica.

Former Sony San Diego chief Michael Mumbauer said in his biography that he was at the birth of a new stellar team focusing on AAA action adventures that will expand existing brands and feed new stories for the next generation of players.

We have been watching the second studio in San Diego for several months now and we are very anxious to see Sony officially sign up and comment on it. All the information gathered suggests that a new large team is being born in the studio, which has so far only served as support for other Sony developers, in the presence of a number of veterans from Naughty Dog, but also from Rockstar or Microsoft. It was the involvement of important people who were responsible for the Uncharted series that has led to speculation before that another episode is being created in San Diego and another episode in the puzzle comes through the job profile of former studio director Michael Mumbauer on LinkedIn. As the community noticed on the Reseter portal, Mumbauer states in his biography that he was at the birth a new star team focusing on AAA action adventures that will expand existing brands and feed new stories for the next generation of players. The genre definition, confirmation of the connection with the existing brand and the mentioned history of executives therefore again point to Uncharted, which could either bring another spin-off or try to reboot, which would go hand in hand with the upcoming film adaptation.

Whether it is just a pious wish or a credible clue leading to the revelation of another Uncharted is not clear at this time. But it doesn’t seem very likely that Sony would like to flip through its catalog deep into the past, and all relevant action adventures from the last 10-15 years have their sequels in preparation, or have recently been released. To be fair, the only one abandoned the brand that would fit into the AAA action adventure formula is inFamous from developers at Sucker Punch, but we would be more willing to return to Uncharted.
