The Samsung Galaxy S22 series will be announced tomorrow, but in the run-up to the announcement, Samsung is already providing some more information about the devices. We already know a lot, thanks to the many leaks that have appeared in recent times, but now we are also hearing more about the creation of the new phones. The material from which the Galaxy S22 is made is striking.

Every year, 640,000 tons of fishing nets are thrown overboard by fishermen into the ocean. This means that underwater life is endangered and coral reefs are destroyed by the dumped fishing nets. A cause of plastic waste that is less thought of than a bottle or bag that is thrown away. Recycled plastic was already used in Samsung’s packaging and chargers, among other things, now the brand wants to make the devices (at least partly) from dumped fishing nets. It is unknown for what percentage the telephones consist of fishing nets.
