The Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 was the first Android smartwatch launched with the latest Wear OS 3.0 version and had One UI Watch as the interface. The launch of the Galaxy Watch 5 is coming up soon and Samsung has it One UI Watch 4.5 based on Wear OS 3.5 announced. Samsung not only introduces new watch faces, which will of course also be available, but also addresses many issues. For example the Keyboard that offers significantly more options. The keyboard can be changed quickly, swipe gestures can be used and the language can be changed. Furthermore, you can use the two SIM cards in your smartphone better via the Smartwatch by being able to choose the right SIM card directly from the watch depending on the application.

With the new software the Galaxy Watch 4 will also be more accessible. Samsung is introducing features to help people with color disabilities or color blindness read the clock better. Furthermore, the balance can be regulated when playing music via headphones. The physical buttons can be assigned even more individual functions. The touchscreen can also be locked and only used again by pressing and holding a button. Handy if you’re swimming, for example, and don’t want the touchscreen to react to the water. The update should be available “soon” (Source: Samsung).

Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 is coming soon

Samsung will probably not release the new software for its smartwatches before the launch of the Galaxy Watch 5. There is currently no concrete information on this, but you should expect that. Only after the introduction of the Galaxy Watch 5 will the Galaxy Watch 4 be properly upgraded. The company does the same with its smartphones.
