Power meters can help unmask power guzzlers and reduce your costs. The Stiftung Warentest has therefore tested several devices and compared them with each other. In our weekly ranking, we present the results and thus the ten best power meters.

In almost every household there are electronic devices that unnecessarily increase the electricity bill. In order to reduce your own costs and save money, however, power meters can help to unmask such power guzzlers.

The best power meters

The Stiftung Warentest therefore examined 15 devices and compared them with each other. This includes both classic electricity meters and smart sockets with electricity measurement functions. The analysis takes into account the measurement accuracy, handling, the power consumption of the device, security and, in the case of smart sockets, data protection. In the following ranking we present you the results and thus the ten best power meters – according to Stiftung Warentest.

10th place: Eve smart socket with consumption measurement

Tenth place in the ranking goes to a smart socket from the manufacturer Eve. The socket works with Apple Home, Alexa and Google Home. The Stiftung Warentest has this power meter with the grade 2.4 rated. The security scores even the best with 0.9.
