Samsung Galaxy A40, A41, A71, Note 20, Nokia 7.2, Moto G 5G and Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite get updates

For example, it has been quiet for days with updates, a lot of manufacturers are suddenly rolling out updates for their devices. That is now the case. New updates are now being rolled out for a series of Samsung devices, the Nokia 7.2, the Moto G 5G and the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite. We list the details for you.

Updates for Samsungs

We start with the Samsung models that are updated with an update. Bram informs DroidApp that his Samsung Galaxy A40 has received the June security update. This makes the device a jump from the April update. Samsung has prepared the May patch for the Samsung Galaxy A41. According to Sjoerd, this update also brings improvements to Quick Share.

There is also news to report for owners of the Samsung Galaxy A71. The smartphone of the South Korean manufacturer will be updated with a June 2021 security update. Samsung also promises improvements for the overall device performance. The Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra are offered the latest update; the July security update.

Motorola, Nokia and Xiaomi

Updates are also available for devices from Motorola, Nokia and Xiaomi. For starters, there’s the Moto G 5G. Where it recently received the update to Android 11, there is now a May 2021 security update with a size of 24.94MB, Paul says. René reports a very late update for his Nokia 7.2. Only now is this device updated with the April security update. There seem to be no further new functions to be implemented, given the size of 6.05MB. Then there is another update for the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite. The update, about which Richard tipped us, will first bring security update June 2021. We also see a few other improvements in the changelog. This concerns optimizations in the video image quality and the response of the touchscreen. Also fixed a bug where the screen brightness was adjusted slower than expected in some cases.
