Renders show Pixel Stand wireless charger, how much does it cost

Renders of the Pixel Stand have been leaked. That’s the wireless charger that will be launched this month along with the Pixel 6 range. It has a fan for cooling and there is a second qi charging point with which you can charge wearables. The price has already been leaked.

Google’s Pixel 6 phones aren’t just launching. They are coming along with a new Pixel Stand wireless charger and it has been leaked by the rumor spreader Brandon Lee on Twitter. It is a successor to the Pixel Stand from 2018, which was then released together with the Pixel 3 series.

The new Pixel Stand looks a bit wider than its predecessor, because it has a cooling mechanism with a fan built in. Wireless charging can make your smartphone warm and that should prevent that fan. There are also two qi charging points: one for your phone and one for wearables such as a pair of wireless earphones. It can charge some Pixel models at 23W and other phones and wearables at 15W and 3W respectively. Because the Pixel Stand uses the qi standard, it works with many devices that support wireless charging.

Smart Features

Also important about the Pixel Stand are the smart software functions especially for Pixel phones. The charger will work Google Assistant’s Spotlight feature. In addition, your phone works as a photo frame, a media player or an alarm clock with sunrise alarm.

The Pixel Stand will come in two colors: ‘Rock Candy’ and ‘Fog’. The charger will be available for purchase for $79. It may cost the same as its predecessor for which you had to pay 79 euros. The Pixel 6 and Pixel Stand will be unveiled on Tuesday, October 19 at 7:00 PM.
