Phone games? A third of readers have 0 installed

Sudoku, Candy Crush, FarmVille, Call of Duty Mobile, Animal Crossing: There are hundreds of thousands of games in Play Store. And yet our poll shows that many people don’t care: a third of AW readers have no game installed on their phone.

When we asked you last year which device you prefer to play mobile games on, the smartphone came out the best. But strikingly enough, we don’t actually play much on our phone at all: 34 percent indicate in our poll this week that they have installed 0 games.

In addition, there are also quite a lot of readers who have even put more than 10 games on their phone: 17 percent. That’s more than the number of people who own six to 10 games on their phone, which is only 11 percent. However, most respondents to our poll say they have one to five games on their phone: 38 percent.

hate/love

michele_possamai is especially a big fan of two phone games, although there is some hatred involved: “2 pcs. Super Hexagon (love/hate relationship with that game) and Human Resource Machine. They are…. For years actually. They always move to the next mobile.”

While games make most people stick their tongues out and sit on the edge of their seats from the excitement, there are also readers who have found completely different uses for their mobile games. willem53: “I have 8 of them on my phone, all sleep-inducing, delicious 😊” Have you tried Sleep Well, Willem?

Nostalgia

Karel-willem laughs a lot because of our poll. He has ‘zero, nada, zero’ games installed on his phone. “The last time I played a game (Lemmings!!) was when I was still employed. Somewhere in the 80’s. 😁” Can you determine your own time as a freelancer, don’t you even choose to make time for games, Karel?! Just kidding, of course.

To do this, go to the Google Play Store, tap your profile at the top right and then Manage apps and device. Under the Manage tab you can then filter by Games.
