Google announced at its I / O conference that it is working with Samsung on a new Wear OS 3.0 system, which should undergo major changes in contrast to the current one. However, no one directly answered the question directly at the conference, whether they will receive this update as well owners of current Wear OS watches. Wear OS 3.0 even for older watches?
Qualcomm provided XDA-Developers with information that an upgrade from the existing Wear OS to the new one was theoretically possible. A company spokesman confirmed that Wear OS 3.0 will be able to run on chipsets Snapdragon Wear 3100, 4100 a 4100 Plus.
