Ubisoft begins offering PC versions of its games to Stadia players

January 18, 2023 will mark the closure of Stadia and Ubisoft has decided to offer a copy of its games on PC to those who have purchased one or more titles on Google’s cloud gaming service. It starts now.

Here is whatnoted Ubisoft:

Ubisoft offers you the PC versions of the Ubisoft games you owned on Stadia for free: these titles will be automatically added to your library via Ubisoft Connect. Note that virtual currency you own in your games will not be transferred from Stadia to Ubisoft Connect or any other platform, so be sure to spend it before January 18, as items you purchase in games with the cross feature -progress will follow you.

If you have subscribed to the Ubisoft+ Multi-Access service through Stadia, you will receive an email with instructions on how to register directly on the Ubisoft+ website, as well as a coupon for a free month of access to Ubisoft+ . Players who subscribed through Ubisoft in the US can also continue to stream Ubisoft+ games via Amazon Luna, while current subscribers outside the US will receive a discount on Multi -Access to Ubisoft+ for six months.

The games started showing up in gamers’ libraries over the weekend. The transfer depends on the link between the Ubisoft Connect account and the Stadia account. Ubisoft’s decision, coupled with Google’s promise to refund all game and accessory purchases made on Stadia, means some of the players left behind by Stadia are left with free games.
