OPPO takes a huge step with fast charging

Fast charging for everyone! OPPO does it for you in the car, public areas and new devices.

We know OPPO as one of the largest makers of smart devices. And today, at Mobile World Congress 2021, the company is launching its new fast charging project. OPPO is hereby entering a new era in charging technology. Based on the groundbreaking VOOC fast charging technology, organizations can purchase a license. This makes it possible to quickly charge new devices, at different places and at any time of the day. Don’t we all want that?

The Flash Initiative

OPPO calls it The Flash Initiative. Several partners are involved in this initiative, such as Volkswagen, Anker and NXP-Semiconductors. The products of these companies reach consumers in three environments where we often charge our devices, namely in the car, at home and in public areas.

Each partner works with its own technical designs developed by OPPO. In the meantime, 2,950 patents for fast charging have been applied for and 1,400 applications have been granted. This will make fast charging (even) more accessible to consumers in the future. OPPO indicates that The Flash Initiative was born out of a commitment to make consumers’ lives better. And that’s why the company is investing even more in their breakthrough technology. The partners are also enthusiastic about OPPO’s fast charging.

We are working on a smarter world and faster charging is a crucial part of this. If we want to improve people’s lives through technology, then we need to make their everyday experiences easier and more convenient – and OPPO’s VOOC fast charging technology does just that.

Future OPPO fast charging

The company sees many opportunities, such as the fast charging zone. For example, advanced charging products have been shown, including the 125W fast charger that can charge a 4,000mAh phone battery to 100% in just 20 minutes. The ‘Smart Home of the Future’ shows how OPPO’s IoT products can connect our homes smarter and better. The technology is able to convert 5G signals into stable, fast WiFi connections via two proprietary antenna systems. OPPO also shows how fast and easy charging is with the new Wireless Air Charging technology, which can deliver up to 7.5W of charging power.
