Netflix: November 2021 releases

Carbon (November 2)

Carbon is a film based on real facts: the VAT fraud on carbon quotas which took place in France in 2008 and 2009. A man who tries to save his company from filing for bankruptcy sets up an unparalleled scam in France with the complicity of the underworld. Of course, things end up badly. An improbable cast that still holds up: Benoît Magimel, Michael Youn, Laura Smet, Gringe (the friend of Orelsan) with a few drops of Gérard Depardieu.

The Harder they Fall (November 3)

Well, this one we put it without really believing it because, from the trailer we say to ourselves that it looks like a hell of a shit movie. We already have a grudge against “clean westerns”, but this one is unlikely to be surprising. The pitch: Idris Elba is a gangster who has just been freed by his gang and he wants revenge for something. Pan pan. Rotten joke. Pan pan. Inclusiveness. End.

We couldn’t become Adults (November 5)

Japanese films are not plentiful on Netflix so why not try to see this joke We could’t become Adults. After receiving the friend request of a lost love, a forty-something will go back to his memories of youth. A film that will inevitably speak more to those who knew the 90s …

Red Notice (November 12)

The Rock, Gal Gadot and Ryan Reynolds in an action movie? OK why not. We will have to wait until November 12 to see what it is all about, but we can already tell you that it will not win 4 Oscars. We have already seen the film after the trailer. Don’t thank us.

Jason Bourne – The Complete (November 16)

Netflix puts the first three films of the “Bourne” saga on its platform with The memory in the skin (The Bourne Identity), The death in the skin (The Bourne Supremacy) and The Bourne Ultimatum (The Bourne Ultimatum) of 2002, 2004 and 2007 respectively. It is therefore not really the complete one since that of 2012 with Jeremy Renner and that of 2016 with the return of the Matt are not part of it. The opportunity to see these action movies not badly screwed at all. We make the pitch to you: Matt Damon is a CIA killer who has lost his memory and there is quite a bit of collateral damage when he sets out to find her.

Tiger King (In the Kingdom of the Wild) – Season 2 (November 17)

Joe Exotic is back! If you missed Season 1 of this addicting docu-series Santa barbara, we will have to take remedial lessons! After being evicted from his zoo and put in prison for trying to assassinate his rival Carole Baskin, Joe still has the right to participate in this season 2 of his penitentiary where he is serving a 22-year sentence. Jeffrey Lowe, the owner of the zoo is meanwhile accused of mistreating animals while rumors about the murder of Carole’s first husband are still running.

Aya and the Witch (November 18)

Aya and the Witch is the first feature film from Ghibli Studios (My Neighbor Totoro, Pompoko, Spirited away, etc.) in computer graphics. Sorrowful spirits will say that Gorô Miyazaki, the son of Hayao Miyazaki, sold his soul to the devil by giving in to the sirens of 3D, but that would be forgetting his previous masterpieces Tales of Earthsea and The Poppy Hill. We must give the product a chance, right? The pitch: an orphan is adopted by a witch and exploits her, but the little one has more than one trick up her sleeve …

Cowboy Bebop – Season 1 (November 19)

Japanese anime broadcast on GameOne in the late 90s (the same time asEvangelion), Cowboy Bebop tells the story of bounty hunters who roam the galaxy in their spaceship. Here, Netflix signs a series based on this universe. We can expect the worst, but there is still hope when we know that Shinichirô Watanabe, the director of the original series, has been hired as a consultant …
