iPhone 13 will be released in the third week of September

When will the new iPhone come out? According to a new rumor, we won’t have long to wait. The iPhone 13 would appear in the third week of September.

Read on after the ad.

Rumor: iPhone 13 coming in the third week of September

That claims Daniel Ives. Ives is an analyst at Wedbush, a telecom industry consultancy. He maintains close contacts within the production chain. Those sources tell him that the 2021 iPhone will be released in the third week of September, which runs from September 13 to 17.

Ives thinks the presentation will take place on September 14. Since the pre-order of new iPhones always starts on the Friday after the reveals, we think the pre-order of the iPhone 13 will start on September 17th. This stands or falls, of course, with whether Ives’ claim is actually correct.

Furthermore, the analyst also shares some specifications. Ives claims that all iPhone 13 phones will have a LiDAR sensor. Currently, only the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max have such a depth sensor. The iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini have to do without LiDAR.

Finally, Ives thinks that the maximum storage capacity of the iPhone 13 Pro (Max) will be increased to 1TB. This is particularly good news for demanding users, as the iPhone 12 Pro (Max) doesn’t go beyond 512GB of storage.

When will the new iPhone come?

Until Apple comes up with an official date, it will continue to speculate about the release of the iPhone 13. In any case, it seems that the device will “just” be unveiled in September, as was the case in all years before 2020. The iPhone 13 event could take place on September 7, 14 or 21, among others.
