Infinite Darkness a datum premiéry » Vortex

The series Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness is starting to take on very specific outlines and is slowly knocking on the door. We have seen a new full-fledged trailer, which clarifies the basic premise in an area of less than two and a half minutes. But we also found out the launch date. The CGI series is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on July 8 and promises to be very true to the original games.

The main characters of Infinite Darkness are the protagonists of the second part, Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield. The story set in 2006 follows the events of Resident Evil 4 and we know for sure that it precedes Resident Evil 6. The popular couple will have to fight the undead, monsters and bureaucrats, who are probably trying to sweep the traces of another conspiracy. As it falls in the trailer itself, Raccoon City was just the beginning. And this conspiracy leads to the White House, where zombies also appear.

The representatives of the main roles from the remake of Resident Evil 2 – Nick Apostolides and Stephanie Panisello – took care of dubbing. After all, the characters have the same form as in the mentioned game. Infinite Darkness will be part of the canon and is set in the history of the saga as we know it. Unfortunately, as we well know, adaptations of Resident Evil are not a matter of course.

The series, which is directly overseen by Capcom, is produced by TMS Entertainment and Quebico. In terms of processing, the new series also follows the CGI films Resident Evil: Degeneration, Resident Evil: Damnation and Resident Evil: Vendetta. In addition to this animated series, Netflix is also working on a feature series, and in addition, a new film adaptation is heading to theaters, which restarts the entire series on the silver screen.

What will it be about?

In 2006, someone accessed the president’s secret files directly on the White House network. Agent Leon S. Kennedy is on the team of investigators to investigate the incident. Suddenly, however, the lights go out and Leon again has to fight the undead right at the president’s residence. Meanwhile, Claire Redfield, a member of TerraSave at the time, is launching her own investigation, which does not seem to involve the incident at all.

Claire is heading to the White House to support the construction of a refugee sanitary facility. She meets Leon and shows him a mysterious picture from a little boy she had previously discovered in a country where she helped refugees. There seems to be some connection between him and the sudden zombie attack in the White House, even though Leon pretends not to see her. But other attacks are just about to come…
