Create Stories on Telegram now: if you are a Premium user

Telegram now has them: Stories. This allows you to create Stories just like on Instagram: posts that only remain temporarily. However, the feature is currently only available to Premium users. With a Story you can show a little better what is on your mind at that moment. It is a feature that is extremely popular on Instagram, among other things.

Stories on Telegram are like Instagram, but have a little more options than that. This way you can choose whether your Story is public, or only for certain contacts, or maybe even only for ‘Close Friends’. In addition, you can choose how long your Story will remain and that is very refreshing, especially if you are used to Instagram. We would even call it a function of the why-didn’t-this-before category: useful for being able to determine for yourself when, for example, a poll ends: if the event the poll is about has already taken place, then it is no longer relevant.

You can make Stories on Telegram last a minimum of 6 hours and a maximum of 48 hours, although it is also possible to create a permanent Story. But now only for Premium users. A Premium account costs 5.49 euros per month, unless you pay in advance, because then you will spend 3.33 euros per month. You must then purchase 12 months.

Premium users

Soon the feature will be rolled out more widely, as Telegram itself also indicates in the tweet above. “They are already out. Premium users can post them now, soon it will be coming to everyone.” Until then you can post free Stories, but not on Telegram. There are plenty of other social media-esque platforms where you can, such as Snapchat, Signal, Facebook and the aforementioned Instagram.
