Xiaomi is currently riding a real wave of success. With the Mix 4, the Chinese company recently presented a new smartphone. But now the Xiaomi Mi 12 is the next model that will overshadow everything.

Xiaomi Mi 12 is supposed to be a real performance monster

The currently fastest processor in Android smartphones is the Snapdragon 888 Plus from Qualcomm. This is being used in more and more devices, including Mix 4. But this processor will not remain the spearhead for a long time. The Xiaomi Mi 12, which is expected in December, should already be the Snapdragon 898 must be installed. This should not only be able to work 20 percent faster than the Snapdragon 888 Plus, but also be more efficient at the same time (source: mydrivers). The 4-nm production should then also solve the heat problems of the chip.

In addition to the processor, the Xiaomi Mi 12 should also be technically state-of-the-art. The display should have a support variable refresh ratethat works between 1 and 120 Hz, similar to what Samsung does. This is supposed to increase the running time, because the software can always set the exact refresh rate that is necessary for the respective purpose. To do this, the software also has to be perfectly optimized. Otherwise, the cell phone should be able to charge extremely quickly. Up to 120 watts are under discussion.

Xiaomi is ahead of Samsung

While Xiaomi would like to show the Mi 12 with the Snapdragon 898 as early as December 2021, Samsung will not follow until January 2022 with the Galaxy S22 and the same processor. Xiaomi is currently somewhat superior to Samsung. That’s why buy too more and more people smartphones from the Chinese manufacturer. Xiaomi is now in first place in Europe. So Samsung has to make an effort. The Galaxy A52s 5G presented today is more of a headache than excitement.
