Buy an Xbox Series X next year? That’s just the question
For the third year in a row it seems to be terribly difficult to buy an Xbox Series X.
If you do everything you can, you have probably managed to get an Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5. But it’s almost a part-time job to get this done. Walking to the store for the consoles is not there. They are always sold out in no time, especially in the case of the PS5.
Xbox Series X will also be difficult to buy in 2022
This problem existed in 2020 when the consoles came out. Unfortunately, the situation has not improved much this year. Then next year? That doesn’t look too rosy either. We don’t say that. That’s what Phil Spencer, the chief executive of Xbox, says in an interview with The Wrap. The problems with deliveries will certainly continue throughout the year and part of 2022.
The problem goes beyond chip shortages, Spencer said. All kinds of parts are simply scarcer, including parts needed to build the console. We also see similar situations in the car industry. Where not only chips, but also, for example, a shortage of rubbers has arisen.
If for the above reason you are still unable to buy Xbox Series X or PlayStation; get well soon. Maybe a big PC build then?
