Apple lets you transfer photos to Google Photos. How does it work?

Apple now makes it easy to transfer photos from its iCloud storage to Google Photos. It is well known that leaving Apple’s services has never been easy. The company has now decided to make it easier for users to switch from iPhone to Android. It offered a tool for convenient transfer of photos from Apple iCloud to Google Photos. How well does it work?

If you want to transfer photos from Apple’s storage to Google Photos, you first need to meet several conditions. Logically, you need to have enough space in your Google storage for the photos to be transferred. In addition, Apple requires the user to have their Apple ID turned on two-step verification. Once the transfer process begins, its completion it can take three to seven days. Apple says this time is necessary to verify your photo upload request. If a user adds or deletes some photos during the process, they may not be successfully transferred to Google Photos. It is therefore better to avoid any changes in the process.

When transferring from Apple Photos to Google Photos, however the user loses specific Apple features like Smart Albums, Live Photos and Photo Stream. Some meta data or RAW files may also be lost.
