Android 12 gets a feature that can automatically translate apps

The latest Android version seems to get a feature that allows apps to be automatically translated into the user’s language. The feature must be part of Android 12.

Android 12 can automatically translate apps

The clue for the new feature has been found in the source code of the latest Android 12 beta. With the function, apps in another language can be automatically converted to, for example, the Dutch language. The discovery was made by colleagues at XDA.

In any case, the feature will work on Pixel devices, but it’s unclear whether it will also come to other Android devices. In addition, it is currently not clear whether users also have the option not to enable this function, although this seems obvious to us. In theory, it will be possible, for example, to convert a Spanish-language application into Dutch in this way. App developers will have to build this option into their apps if they want to offer this option.

Curious about what else Android 12 has to offer? DroidApp has a nice overview for you with the new features in Android 12.
