‘AirPods Pro 2 get many new functions, act as a hearing aid’
The AirPods Pro 2 seem to be a major upgrade. According to a fresh rumor, the earbuds will have many new functions, including the ability to act as a hearing aid. You need to know this.

‘Lots of new features for AirPods Pro 2’
We’ve been waiting a while for the AirPods Pro 2, Apple’s new high-end earbuds. According to the website 52audio, who also published renders, thankfully they are well worth the wait. The successors of the first AirPods Pro would get many new functions. We’ve heard of some of these before, such as the ability to measure your heart rate. In addition, they would also be able to determine your body temperature. That saves another thermometer.
The most interesting thing 52audio writes is that the AirPods Pro 2 can function as a hearing aid. The charging case would contain a microphone on the side to pick up sound and then make it sound amplified on the earbuds themselves. That would of course be wonderful, but we do take this rumor with a grain of salt. This is the first time we hear about this.
The case would also contain a speaker. You can then play a sound via the Find My app so that you can easily find a lost charging case. The website also thinks that the box will have a USB-C connection instead of Lightning. Next year, the iPhone 15 will probably also get USB-C.
In addition to these new functions, the AirPods Pro 2 have a more energy-efficient H1 chip that should ensure a longer battery life and improved active noise cancellation. It would be able to adapt to the environment you are in. The noise reduction works differently in an airplane than on a busy square. Finally, Apple also improves the sound quality. New drivers and amplifiers should make your music sound even more beautiful.
No new design?
For a long time we assumed that the AirPods Pro 2 would get a new design without a stem. However, at the beginning of this month we read that the earbuds may retain the old design. The renders of 52audio seem to confirm that. They look a lot like the first Pros and the new AirPods 3 according to these images.
Apple will probably release the AirPods Pro 2 this fall. We’re guessing they’ll see the light of day with the iPhone 14 launch in September.
