Zelda Tears of the Kingdom: Unlock all towers

In Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you gradually unlock the map of Hyrule with the help of the towers. However, the towers also serve as teleportation points and help you to explore the sky more easily. You should therefore visit the towers as soon as possible. Since some obstacles will get in your way, we’ll tell you how to unlock them in this guide.

Tower at the lookout post

You will inevitably activate this tower if you follow the main quest. This is what happens when Purah gives you the parasail. Only then can you unlock this and all other towers.

Tower in the Plains of Hyrule

The tower stands in the middle of a monster camp. But you should be able to walk directly to the entrance of the tower without any problems. Alternatively, you turn off the opponents or build a hot air balloon (or something else) to sneak into the camp secretly.

Tower on Mount Tilio

The tower stands in the middle of a lake. If you have a Sonau Rocket in inventory, you can stick it to your shield to fly over quickly. A fan would also be sufficient, but it has to give you some lift, so you can get to the rock wall. Since this is not that high, you can climb to the tower with little stamina.

Tower at Karuga Pass

The tower is surrounded by tendrils of thorns. You can burn the tendrils with a fire object, such as a fire fruit.

Tower in the Zuzukiki Snowfield

The only challenge in this tower is the ascent. But if you’ve already done the Wind Temple, you can teleport to one of the shrines up there in the sky, and then fly to the tower in the Zuzukiki Snowfield.

Tower in the Deubran Ruins

A Sonau platform blocks the tower’s opening at the top. Use the ceiling jump to get onto one of the other Sonau platforms next to the tower that have some rockets on them. Place the rockets on the platform and fly up. Push the disturbing platform aside and then activate the tower.

Tower in Eldin Gorge

The top of the tower broke off and that’s why the door won’t open. Since the tower is exposed at the top, you’ll need to slide into the tower from above. There should be rocks that fell from the sky near the tower. Cast time reversal on such a rock and use it as a liftto reach the top of the tower.

Tower on the Ulri mountain

A kakuda stole the tower’s control unit. Shoots the flying enemy with an arrow and carries the object back to the tower.

Tower in the Zorana Highlands

The entrance to the tower is covered in mud so you cannot enter. Throw a slime jelly or a water fruit on the mudto remove it. If you don’t have any of these in your luggage, you will find small trees next to the tower on which water fruits grow.

Tower on the Ranelle peak

The tower on Ranelle Spire does not have a tower puzzle to solve. The only difficulty is to overcome the high mountain and reach the tower.

Tower in Labella Marshes

Vines of thorns once again block the way to the entrance of the tower. You can’t easily burn the vines because it’s raining in the area. So grab three long wooden boards and glue them together. Then you put the glued wooden plate on the scaffolding over the tendrils. This keeps the rain off and you can grab your fire tool.

Tower on Sahasra Hill

From the Rito worker you learn that the door of the tower does not open. You must therefore come under the tower and swim in with the ceiling jump. At the bottom of the hill on which the tower stands (just a few steps northwest) is the Sahasra Hill Cave. Here you will find the right place for it. Destroy the broken rocks after the entrance and keep right until you are just under the tower. In the tower you must then remove the wooden sticks to the left and right of the sliding door. In the next video you can see the exact route.

Tower in Cottonwood Highlands

The tower is broken and you can’t activate it for now. Jump into the well in front of the tower and you will find the worker assigned to repair the tower. However, you cannot free him from his cell from this side. Return to the surface and head south. Once you reach the cliffs, carefully slide down. On the lower level you will then discover a cave behind you. Enter the cave and stand on the switch to free the worker.

Tower in Gerudo Valley

You have to move the worker standing at the bottom of the elevator up to the tower. To do this, climb up and grab three metal boxes next to the tower. You have to use the crates as a counterweight for the elevator. Once you have done that, the tower will be repaired and you can enter.

Make sure you have enough weight with the metal boxes and pull the lift up. (Image source: Screenshot GIGA)

Tower in the Gerudo Plateau

This tower has no entrance, so you have to climb back into the tower from below using the ceiling jump. North of the tower is the cave at the Elmeda Plateau. From there you can get under the tower. You can see exactly where the right point is in the following video guide.
