Young Slovaks do not put down their mobile phones even at the Christmas table. Thousands of people joined Samsung’s challenge
The Advent call #SklapniMobil from Samsung consists of 24 daily detox tasks. To date, 6,878 Czechs and 5,645 Slovaks have joined. Just register on sklapnimobil.cz/sk by the morning of December 23 and you can win a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 5G folding smartphone, Samsung states in a press release.
The call provides the public with tips on how to improve your phone habits. From the beginning of December, those interested in the challenge can experience simple everyday tasks related to digital balance, such as “Choose 3 profiles on social networks that make you feel negative and stop following them.” (4.12.) Or “Experience a night without a cell phone! Put the phone away for an hour and a half before going to bed and keep it as far away from the bed as possible. “
Before launching the call, Samsung conducted a survey in Slovakia on a sample of 1,050 respondents aged 18-65. It turned out that the younger generation in particular perceived their relationship with the smartphone as problematic.
- 79.2% of them spend more time with him than they would like
- More than 40% of young people will have a smartphone at their fingertips
“Enormous public interest in digital balance and challenge #SklapniMobil we, as the largest smartphone manufacturer, sincerely pleased us. At the same time, it proves that this topic is important for Slovaks. We believe that the Slovaks will prepare the challenges together with the experts next year and will take them for granted. We wish everyone peaceful holidays and a lot of digital well-being, “
Petra Bačková, Brand marketing & PR SK, Samsung Electronics Czech and Slovak.
