You’ll soon be able to get an AI dog in Habytat

The company Datchat has announcedthat its Metaverse Habytat will include dogs and cats as pets when it launches in the spring. The gimmick for animal lovers should work in a similar way to the well-known Tamagotchis from the 90s, only with the difference that the detailed 3D models, according to a report by venture beat should have their own artificial intelligence.

Users can build a second existence in Geniuz City

In March of this year, Habytat Datchat’s first social network that is completely in a metaverse, i.e. a virtual reality, is to go online.

In the digital city “Geniuz City” users should be able to talk to each other, dance in clubs and go shopping, to name just a few possibilities. You can buy land, rent apartments and dress your avatar however you like. Payment is made in the Metaverse in the form of cryptocurrencies – ultimately with real money.

Much to the delight of dog and cat fans, you can also exchange your coins for virtual four-legged friends.

As in analog reality, the animals should be able to mature from the puppy stage to adult animals, which then learn from their owners. They need food and attention to survive, they listen to simple commands and of course you can spend lots of money on accessories and toys to make your virtual pets virtually happy. Gradually, a real bond between humans and animals should be built up.

Pets in the Metaverse: Dogs and house cats are said to be followed by tigers and monkeys

Currently you can vote on the Habytat website which dog and cat breeds you would like to see represented in the world upon release. These will then be gradually added to.

In addition, Datchat plans to add a few animals to the home zoo that are otherwise not so easy to keep at home for good reason. So if you’ve always dreamed of leading a Joe Exotic existence with tigers, giraffes, lions and monkeys, you can at least virtually pursue this passion in Habytat.

In fact, bringing pets into its second reality is a pretty smart move by the Metaverse company. Not only are the “residents” of “Geniuz City” certainly willing to invest some money in their four-legged friends, the emotional bond with the animals also creates an inner obligation to take care of them. This gives users the urge to keep coming back to the game world.
