You should no longer use iOS 14 on your iPhone or iPad!

iOS 14 poses a threat from now on, so stay far away from this old version.

Software updates are part of safely using your iPhone, iPad or any other online connected device. These are essential to keep malicious people out. But there will always come a time when a company stops supporting outdated software. And that’s where iOS 14 comes in, because Apple no longer comes with security updates for this old version of the mobile operating system.

iOS 14 appeared in September 2020. In the same year, for example, the renewed iPhone SE and the 12 Series came on the market. So it’s not very long ago. However, Apple has already stopped supporting the OS. Not a disaster, because most devices can simply update to the still supported iOS 15. In short, there is a good chance that you no longer use iOS 14.

If you still do that because you hate updating, then you really need to upgrade to iOS 15 and newer. Or maybe you know someone who still uses the old iOS version. Think of your parents or grandparents, who are not very handy with smartphones and tablets. Upgrading is the motto, because iOS 14 now poses a risk because Apple no longer guarantees security through updates. (via Ars Technica)
