Xiaomi sold 190 million smartphones in 2021

Xiaomi sold more devices in 2021 than in the previous year. The counter of the Chinese manufacturer stands at more than 190 million units sold. Net profit also rose sharply.

Xiaomi has shared figures for the past year. The manufacturer notes a significant increase in both profit and the number of devices sold. The number of smartphones sold in 2021 amounted to 190.3 million devices. This is an increase of 30.0 percent compared to the number of phones sold in 2020. Of this number, 24 million devices came from the premium segment, which is an increase of 160 percent.

Xiaomi’s net profit also rose 69.5 percent to 22 billion Chinese Yuan. The total turnover amounted to 208.9 billion CNY. Xiaomi is in the top 5 of smartphone manufacturers in many markets. In 14 of the 62 markets, Xiaomi is the best-selling smartphone manufacturer. AI range sales rose 26 percent to CNY 85 billion. The number of monthly active MIUI users reached 509 million users, 28.4 percent more than in 2020.

Xiaomi recently presented its new Xiaomi 12 series for Europe.
