Xiaomi shows smart food bowl for dog and cat at MWC
Xiaomi has shown two handy products at the Mobile World Congress, with which you can leave your dog or cat alone for a while without any worries. They are the Xiaomi Smart Pet Food Feeder and the Smart Pet Fountain. Time to take a closer look at them.
Smart products for your pet
During a visit to the Mobile World Congress, you may come across nice additions. Because there is really more to see than just smartphones. This is also the case at the Xiaomi stand. We previously had the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro preview and the first impression of the Xiaomi Watch S1 Pro, now it’s the turn of products for your pet. Good to know; the two products in question are already available, but certainly worth mentioning.
In a world where we are sometimes away from home for a little longer, the Xiaomi Smart Ped Food Feeder and Smart Pet Fountain can offer a solution. These smart devices provide your dog and/or cat with food and water when you are not there. Of course you can fill your cat’s food bowl to the brim before you have an overnight stay, for example, but that is not always convenient. For example, if you have a cat that likes to eat everything immediately, or if you have more than one cat in the house. In addition, it has benefits for dogs.
Smart Pet Food Feeder
The Smart Ped Food Feeder costs around 100 euros and can be operated with the Xiaomi Home app. This application works with both Android and iOS and lets you feed your pet automatically at times you choose. The six grids in the device ensure a dispensing of fixed quantities. The chunks should have a size between 4.5 mm and 14 mm. You fill the stock in the reservoir above the device. If it is almost empty, you will receive a message on your smartphone that you need to refill it. The silicone seal, desiccant cartridges and revolving door dispensing compartment ensure that the feed is always fresh.
The smart food bowl for your cat or dog works on mains power, but if the power fails, you don’t have to worry immediately. You can put batteries in the device. In the Smart Pet Food Feeder there is room for 3.6 liters of content.
Smart Pet Fountain
Then there is another device from Xiaomi. It is the drinking fountain for your cat (or dog). Different types of filtration ensure that your pet can enjoy healthy and tasty water. The water bowl is tilted 7 degrees, according to research this is the best drinking position for your pet. You can operate the smart fountain drinking bowl with the same Xiaomi Mi Home app. It can also give you a signal when it is time to add water, clean the fountain or receive the filter. You also have different modes in the app that you can choose, such as regular water delivery or intermittent. There are lights on the device that immediately draw your attention to the status of the water. Xiaomi’s Smart Pet Fountain has room for two liters of water. This smart fountain also goes home with you for 100 euros.
