Xiaomi has become the largest smartphone manufacturer in the world

According to a report by Counterpoint Research, Xiaomi took the lead in June this year, with a 17.1% market share, while Samsung’s share fell to 15.7%. Apple continues to hold third place with 14.3%. The report also revealed that Xiaomi grew by 26% month-on-month, making it the fastest growing brand of the month. Since its inception in 2011, it has sold almost 800 million smartphones.

Timing may have helped Xiaomi, but Samsung will soon introduce new products

This is the first time that a manufacturer has managed to become a unit in the smartphone market. It’s really impressive, especially considering that he hasn’t even entered the United States with his equipment.

Timing may also have helped, as Samsung has not released its flagship smartphone since January. Although Unpacked is scheduled for next week, where it will present several interesting products, Xiaomi has also prepared and the day before it is to introduce a new Mi Mix 4. There are also reports that the Chinese manufacturer is preparing another folding smartphone, which could potentially get outside China.
