We already know roughly what the new MacBook Pro looks like, but every now and then a futuristic (and unrealistic) concept pops up. This time it’s the turn of the MacBook Pro with Apple Pencil.

Concept shows MacBook Pro with Apple Pencil
The next MacBook Pro will no longer have a Touch Bar, if we are to believe the rumors. Apple seems to give the laptop a ‘regular’ key bar, instead of a touch-sensitive one.
However, there are more ways to fill this space. This experimental MacBook Pro concept proves that, where the Apple Pencil has a storage compartment under the screen. The Touch Bar does not disappear completely: there is still a small piece of touch display left on the right side.
The concept was created by Sarang Sheth. The 3D designer did not just let his creative brain run free, but took inspiration from a patent that Apple filed last week.
MacBook Pro with touchscreen
In this patent, the company shows how a MacBook Pro with touchscreen could work. It is extra striking that the Apple Pencil also appears in the drawings. This means that Apple is exploring the possibility of controlling future laptops with a touch-sensitive stylus.
However, we don’t expect the next MacBook Pro to actually have an Apple Pencil storage compartment. Apple files dozens of patents every week, for example to prevent competitors from working with their ideas. The documents do indicate in which direction the company is ‘thinking’.

Apple is rumored to hold a special event this year to showcase the new MacBook Pro. The biggest change is probably under the hood.
