Will the Samsung S22 be the best gaming smartphone?

Of course, gaming is definitely not the number one priority when it comes to Samsung’s flagship. The Exynos 2200 in the Samsung Galaxy S22 does get a feature that will make gamers completely happy.

Sometimes you achieve something by accidentally trying very hard. A good example of this is the Asus ROG Phone. According to reviewers, this gaming phone was highly regarded because it was so lightning fast. That is of course all intended to make gaming enjoyable, but a 120Hz screen with an extremely powerful processor and long battery life is nice for a smartphone anyway.

Samsung S22

Samsung seems to be turning things around. The Samsung Galaxy S22 is on its way and Samsung will of course do their best to make it as good as possible. But then as a daily phone. The intention is not to play games at all. But it can. Maybe even suspiciously good.

Exynos

The chip for the Samsung Galaxy S22 will be the Exynos 2200. Of course, the SoC should be a faster experience in all respects, but Samsung is also announcing something nice. The Exynos 2200 in the new S22 gets Ray Tracing.

Samsung shares the above picture of a ‘regular GPU’ and an Exynos GPU. As you can see, the picture on the right is better in terms of light and details. Ray Tracing does that, which we know from, for example, the Nvidia RTX cards for gaming PCs. The Samsung S22 will also support this. Although Samsung says on their Weibo page right away that the most benefit will be obtained during gaming.

What, special gaming smartphone? So just get a Samsung S22.
