Will Samsung’s next flagship get a MediaTek processor?

It is quite possible that the next high-end device from Samsung will be delivered without Snapdragon or Exynos. There are reports that Samsung would like to opt for a chip from MediaTek.

High-end from Samsung with MediaTek?

From new Korean messages, news comes out about new flagships from Samsung. Until now, these devices were equipped with processors from Qualcomm (Snapdragon) or their own Exynos. According to the reports, Samsung is now considering putting MediaTek chipsets in its flagships. There is therefore a chance that the Samsung Galaxy S23 will receive a MediaTek processor. However, the source reports that probably not all Galaxy S23 models will receive a chip from that manufacturer. The choice would now be that only the Asian versions receive this chip.

We occasionally encountered a MediaTek chipset in cheaper Samsung devices, such as the Galaxy A22. According to the source, the upcoming Galaxy S22 FE would also be (partially) released with a processor from the Taiwanese chip manufacturer.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 series will appear early next year at the earliest. The S22 FE will not make its debut until later in the year.
