You start with beer in your youth, then maybe wine and when you really get older you turn to whiskey. That is of course not entirely true, but the drink is known for it. And if you’re a real enthusiast, then this bottle is for you (and your friends).

Biggest bottle of whiskey

Whiskey is a strong drink. It is distilled from fermented grain mash and aged in wooden barrels. You can also mix the drink, for example with cola. The name comes from the Irish uisce beatha which means ‘water of life’. Fuisce was Anglicized to whiskey. Now it is possible to buy the largest bottle full of whiskey at an auction. It promises to be an exciting battle with bidding, so a full wallet is necessary.

The bottle is called The Intrepid. It contains as much whiskey as 444 standard bottles, so you can go ahead. There are 331 liters in the bottle of 1 meter 80 high. The bottle was distilled 32 years ago by the Scottish Macallan. The team that made this happen has a passion for adventures and new discoveries. Twelve adventurers are also depicted on the bottle. They all contributed to the bottle.

The bottle is expected to bring in quite a bit of money. A portion of the proceeds go to charity. The auction house expects records to be broken. In 2019, nearly $2 million was paid for a bottle of Macallan. However, this was a very old bottle, namely from 1926. Yet they expect this huge bottle to exceed this amount. Cheers!
