Moto G Nio gets dual front camera and impressive processor

Through Voice Evan Blass shares an image of the upcoming Moto G-series device. The tasty thus provides a clearer picture of the Moto G device that will be announced in 2021. Motorola internally calls the device Nio. It is not known whether this will also be the official name.

In terms of design, the Moto G 2021 edition does not differ much from the eponymous device that came out in 2020. The new device will probably get the same 6.7-inch screen. However, the camera system is getting a major upgrade. It seems that Motorola has opted for a 64 megapixel main camera, a 2 megapixel depth sensor and a 16 megapixel wide-angle lens.

The front of the device gets two cameras. A 16 megapixel specimen and an 8 megapixel secondary lens. The render by Evan Blass shows that the front cameras are not integrated in a notch but as two separate holes in the screen.

Little is known about the back of the Moto G Nio. The rear panel is expected to be very similar to that of the Moto G 5G Plus.

Motorola has been making us enthusiastic for a while for the arrival of the Moto G Nio in 2021. Based on leaked information, we can expect Qualcomms Snapdragon 865, 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage under the hood. There are also indications for a more impressive version with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. These are a lot of figures on paper, but in practice means that we expect a fast device, partly due to the Snapdragon 865 processor. The flagship Samsung Galaxy S20, for example, is also equipped with this chipset. Finally, the 2021 edition of the Moto G features a 5000 mAh battery and Android 11 right out of the box.

Announcement Moto G Nio early 2021

The newest member of the Moto G family will probably be announced in the first quarter of 2021. The sale price has not yet been confirmed, but it is suspected that the device will be launched as an upper mid-range phone or even as a budget flagship.
