Which devices can access your Google account?

Want to know which phones and tablets have access to your Google account? You can find that out very easily. In this article we explain where in your Google account you can find this information.

These devices have access to your Google account

Many people have already devoured several Android phones, tablets and laptops in their lifetime. All those devices must have access to your Google account to set them up before you can start using them. Over time, this list can add up considerably, especially in the case of editors at the Androidworld editors but also people who often develop from telephones. So it’s high time to clean up the list of devices that have access to your Google account.

Checking which devices you’re signed in on

So you can view the computers, phones, and other devices that your Google Account is currently or recently used on. You can also use this information to check that no one else is logged into your account.

1. Go to your Google account
2. In the left navigation pane, click Security†
3. Click in the panel Your devices on Manage devices†
4. You’ll see the devices you’re currently signed in to with your Google account.

You can now tap a device to view more details about when you were last logged in, or you can search for the device.

Check which devices you’ve recently signed out of

1. Go to your Google account.
2. In the left navigation pane, click Security†
3. Click in the panel Your devices on Manage devices†
4. Scroll down to ‘Where you’re signed out’.
5. You’ll see the devices you’ve signed out of your Google Account on in the past 28 days.

You may also not have logged out of any device in the past 28 days.

Sign out of a device you no longer use

If you bought a used device that is still signed in to a Google Account, lost a device, or sold a device, you can secure your account by logging out of that device.

1. Go to your Google account.
2. In the left navigation pane, click Security†
3. Click in the panel Your devices on Manage devices†
4. Select the device Log out†

You now know where to find the overview of devices that have (had) access to your account and what you need to do to log out unused or lost devices (remotely). This way, your Google account remains safe from unauthorized use.
