which app do you use for your sports activities? (2022)
Google has proposed a new app that makes it easier for apps to access your sports and health data. Your steps, sleep data, calories burned will then be synchronized. Which app do you use for your sports activities?
Sports apps for Android
Whether you are planning to climb a high mountain by bike, run a half marathon or just do sports recreationally: there is a suitable app for everything. Strava, for example, appeals to many runners, while Fitbit wearables also convince many recreational athletes.
There is only one drawback to all those sports apps and that is the mutual integrations, which are rather limited. In some cases, your smartwatch must first connect to an app such as Google Fit in order to then link Fit to a calorie counter such as Lifesum. It’s all quite cumbersome and today it became known that Google is working on a solution called Health Connect.
Health Connect gives well-known sports apps access to your sports and health data. Full control lies with the users themselves, because they can determine exactly which app has permission to retrieve which data. App developers no longer have to build integrations themselves between their apps and well-known sports apps. Currently 11 apps work with Health Connect, but more will be added in the future.
AW Poll
In the poll below, just like in 2016, we ask which sports app you use most often. You may have several apps for this on your phone, but cast your vote for the app you use to view your sports activities afterwards. In other words, the app you prefer to use. Also indicate in the comments why you use this app.
