They are now experiencing real success since 7 billion voice messages are sent every day by users according to the messaging service. She points out in passing that audio files benefit from end-to-end encryption, like written messages. This means that WhatsApp or another entity (hacker, government, etc.) cannot listen to them. Only the participants have access to it, this is the very principle of end-to-end encryption.
So here’s what’s new who will arrive :
- Reading outside the conversation : Listen to a voicemail outside of the conversation so you can multitask or read and reply to other messages.
- Pause/resume recording : When recording a voice message, you can now pause the recording and resume it when you’re ready, in case you’re interrupted or need to collect your thoughts.
- Waveform visualization : This displays a visual representation of the voicemail sound to help follow the recording.
- Draft Preview : Listen to your voicemail messages before sending them.
- Reading memorization : If you pause while listening to a voice message, you can pick up where you left off when you return to the conversation.
- Quick reading of forwarded messages : Play voice messages at 1.5x or 2x speed to listen to them faster, whether they are regular messages or forwarded messages.
