Spotify Blend: now create a playlist together with artists

In Spotify you can now create a playlist together with a number of famous artists. The list will then contain songs that one or both of you are listening to. It’s about the Blend function that you could use with friends before.

Spotify has developed a new feature that aims to bring music fans a little closer to their favorite artists. You can now mix your songs in a playlist together with the favorite songs of some artists, the streaming service says in a blog post. From now on you will make a Blend playlist together with one of the 20 participating artists. You do this by clicking on one of the links at the bottom of this article and the playlist will be generated automatically.

Spotify’s Blend function has been around for some time, but so far it only worked with one of your friends or family members who use the music app. From now on you can invite up to 10 people for a Blend and then your favorite music will be mixed. You can also always see who is listening to which song and that way you also recognize songs that you both listen to.

A playlist with 10 friends

To create a Blend playlist with one or more friends, tap the search bar in the music app. Then type Blend and tap Blend in the search results. Then choose the button Make a Blend and invite your friends to make a playlist together.

Once you’ve created a Blend, the playlist will remain a part of your library. You can also share your Blends on social media and Spotify will create a map in which a score shows how far your music taste corresponds to that of the other. You can share these Spotify cards via Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and Snapchat.
