WhatsApp confirms the arrival of three new features: disappearing mode and more
We can expect three new functions in the WhatsApp app. Users will get a disappearing mode, among other things, but there is more. The messages are confirmed by Mark Zuckerberg himself.
New features for WhatsApp
There are three new features coming to the WhatsApp app. The application is very popular for sending and receiving messages, but in terms of functionality, alternatives such as Telegram are ahead of the developments of WhatsApp. It is striking that the colleagues of Wabetainfo managed to make contact with Will Cathcart, CEO of WhatsApp. Later, Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg joined the conversation. We will learn more about the new features in it.
The first new feature being talked about is the multi-device support. In the future, it should be possible to connect the same WhatsApp account with up to four devices. This will also include end-to-end encryption. Thanks to multi-device support, the application should also work on the Apple iPad.
There will also be a disappearing mode. This will automatically delete messages after 7 days. Another feature that will be rolled out is ‘View Once’. This gives the recipient the opportunity to view a photo or video once. Then it disappears. The feature cannot prevent someone else from taking screenshots of it.
In the next two months, a first step should be made with the availability of new features in the beta version. For the time being, this concerns the multi-device support. Once developed from there, they will also be available in the final version, but this will take a little longer.
