WhatsApp comes with special poll function to the chat app

Chat app WhatsApp is getting a new function, according to new clues that have surfaced. The function should make it easier to, for example, gauge what friends think.

Polls for WhatsApp

Messaging service WhatsApp will have the option to create a poll and share it with others. The feature has surfaced in the application’s code, making it clear that the feature will be made available to groups. This means it won’t be available in one-on-one conversations, which in itself makes sense, given that a poll isn’t really of any value there.

When creating the poll, you start with the question. Multiple answers can then be given for others to vote for. It is currently unclear how many options can be set and whether everyone in a group can use the option, or whether only administrators can create a poll. It is also not clear whether WhatsApp offers the option of a maximum voting time. We expect more information about this in the near future.
